MARC O’POLO HOME
Dear Frenchonista’s,
On the Dutch webshop http://www.freshonline.nl/ we’ve seen a really great collection of things for your home. The style is very “beach house” and so it is great for both your house and garden (or city roof terrace) this summer. They have gorgeous plaids (warm for winter or a chilly summer evening after a day at the beach), cushions, towels for your bathroom and for the beach, and duvet covers (also for kids!). On their site you’ll see they also sell some clothing and accessories (basics for adults and kids), so if you want to go all out, you can just “one stop shop”
Enjoy!

Dear frenchonista’s,
As you know Samia recently did the interior design for a restaurant, not to mention her own house, so she’s always looking for new inspiration. We love the colors of Farrow&Ball paints and wallpapers so we thought we’d share them with you, too. British Farrow&Ball still produces paint the old way (and uses their paint on their wall paper as well) so you will be sure that you get an intensity of color that you rarely see anymore, and certainly not in the department stores where everyone buys their paint.
The wall papers are exquisitely detailed and very chic and you can definitely see all the craftsmanship that goes into making them.
Take a look at some of their new wall papers and get inspired.
Also, go to http://eu.farrow-ball.com to select a store, view more colors or buy online.

Dear Frenchonista’s,
Endemol and Fashioncheque in the Netherlands have now launched a great giftcard concept called “All You Need Is Love” like The Beatles song and, for the Dutchies, the famous television show with the same name, that’s all about surprising your loved ones. This gift card is wrapped in a beautiful box and the recipient can go to www.allyouneedislove-giftbox.nl to choose their present or dream wish (spa, weekends away, nice lunch, champagne, flowers, ecc ecc).

Dear Frenchonista’s,
It will not have escaped our faithful followers that we had an AMAZING VIP photo shoot of the new Frenchonista Clutch Collection at the beautiful Art’Otel in Amsterdam. As you know we’ve been fans since the hotel and the restaurant opened, we have had fabulous dinners there and we have drunk one too many cocktail in their chic and inspiring bar on more than one occasion!
So…we were extremely happy when Art’Otel and 5&33 allowed us to have our photo shoot in one of their suites end last month. Most of Frenchonista’s *famous* angels were there and they were gorgeous as ever.
5&33 provided breakfast in the suite so we were catered for beautifully.
Our model line-up was (tadaaaaa!): Miryanna van Reeden, Ovo Drenth, Beertje van Beers, Coosje Smid, Ginette Tellier, Rianne Swierstra, Bianca Portis, Hoda Hamdaoui and Nodar Ramsis. What a team!!
The glamorous and sensual dresses were by designer Leon Klassen Bos (so honored!), we had manicures from Red Carpet manicure, make-up by Lavertu, and we had a great goodiebag!
Thanks to Art’otel, Maison PR, Mooi PR, Unlimited PR, So PR, Lavertu cosmetics, Ladyshape, Enchantra, Cointreau, Smart and Sexy, Melli Mello, Simply PR, Manjewell, Uzurii, Ziana La Roussa, Gelaze, Milachocolata and Asia Paruch and her Spray Tan!
All in all it was a day – as all days at the Art’Otel and 5&33, really – to never forget. Check out what we’re talking about in the pictures here below!

Dear Frenchonista’s,
We’ve told you before, Melli Mello is a great brand for all us travel lovers. They have bedding, stationary, cushions for your home (and for your garden chairs!) and even murals! So many gorgeous and colorful things to brighten up your home, garden or city balcony are now available on the Melli Mello web shop! We were happy to have them represented in our VIP Photo Shoot goodie bag last month. The designs are romantic, ethnic, flowery, graphical…and all of that, with rich colors, mixed into one, so it creates a very recognizable and typical Melli Mello look.
We love!

Dear Frenchonista’s,
Last Friday we had the best party ever!!
The sun was shining, the champagne was flowing, the oysters were to die for and everyone felt – and looked – amazing!
And where was this, you may ask??
It was the much expected opening of the Arabic Lounge, combined with the birthday party of Frenchonista’s Samia, who did the interior design of the place, and very well at that! The restaurant will open for guests this week and we got to inaugurate it with great bites, gorgeous girls wearing trays of drinks and cupcakes, great belly dancing (not by us – but we danced afterwards!), and, last but not least, the best people!
The Arabic Lounge is on Frederik Hendrikkade 194, on the “city side” of Nemo, so it’s really easy to reach. The entrance is shared with Noah’s Ark, just look for the beautifully decorated Lounge on the left when you come in.The restaurant will feed you delicious 1001 Arabian Night-like food, so check it out, and….uhm……if Samia ever decides to throw a party again, please make sure to be there!!!
Check out the photos – even your faithful but always behind the scenes writer got to escape from baby land for an evening :-)))
And Don’t miss out the new hotspot of Amsterdam for Delicious Dinner!

Dear Frenchonista’s,
Did you know that Fatboy has a very cool new product called The Baboesjka?
It’s a mix & match pouffe of three separate stacked pillows that are held together by a robust, adjustable strap. There are different color and style combinations possible, because apart from (very nice) plain colors there’s one with russian design, another one with arabic elements and also a persian model. You simply choose the designed one and then combine it with the colors that match the design, the ones that you like!
Samia has a set at home and uses it for guests; they are super comfy and cool! The price is not high for something that looks stylish and seats up to three people!
Check it (and other new collection items) out on www.fatboy.com
